Tipico is committed to user privacy. This Group website is offered by Tipico Group Ltd for the Tipico Group (hereinafter “Tipico” or the “Group”). This Privacy Policy provides details on whether your personal information is collected, processed and retained by Tipico through this Group website, and how this is done.  Personal information refers to information concerning the personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable individual.  This may include amongst others a person’s name, address, telephone number and date of birth, but also other information that may be used, on its own or together with other data, to identify you.

Whenever Tipico collects, processes, and retains your personal information through the use of this Website, Tipico Group Ltd will act as a data controller. In the case of data processed through the use of the “Careers” section of this website, then the Tipico Group company with whom you submit a job application will act as data controller, and the processing of such data is governed by the Privacy Policy found here.

Our data protection practices comply with all applicable data protection legislation, including the provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, hereinafter the “GDPR”), and any other European or national legislation we may be subject to.

By continuing to use the Tipico Group website or sending us personal information after publication of this Privacy Policy, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and to the use of your personal information in accordance with these terms.

This Privacy Policy may be subject to modification from time to time, notably in the event of changes to legislation or the introduction of new laws. Any changes will be published on the Group website. We therefore recommend that you check the Privacy Policy regularly.

II. How Tipico collects, uses and retains your information

 Tipico may collect personal information from you through your use of the website, mainly through the use of cookies (as further explained in Section V below), or via email should you contact us on any of the email addresses displayed on this website. Tipico may also use photos of identifiable natural persons on the website, from whom all the necessary consents are obtained prior to use.

We retain your data in accordance with our pre-defined retention period policy. Should you wish to obtain more information on our retention periods, please contact our Data Protection Officer (“DPO”) on the details provided in Section VII below.

III. To whom Tipico may transfer your information

In the framework of the processing of your application, your information may be shared with other companies of the Tipico Group as set out above.

For the processing of any job applications accessed through the “Careers” section of this website, we use a SmartRecruiters third-party service provided by SmartRecruiters Inc. 225 Bush Street, San Francisco, CA 94104 (hereinafter “SmartRecruiters”), to whom your data will consequently be transferred. If you use the SmartRecruiters platform to manage or submit your application, the data privacy policy of SmartRecruiters shall also apply. SmartRecruiters will use personal information of applicants solely for processing the applications.

In addition to the above, Tipico may also share your personal information with other third-party service providers with whom Tipico has a contractual relationship and who provide part of the services requested by you on behalf of Tipico. In addition, we may also be required to share your personal data with authorities or other competent bodies as a result of a legal obligation to which we are subject.

Where we share your data with third parties, we shall take all reasonable precautions to ensure that these third parties respect the same privacy standards as Tipico.

We only transfer data to states outside the European Economic Area provided the recipient guarantees a standard of data protection comparable to that in place in Europe.

IV. Your rights

Tipico is committed to safeguarding your rights under the applicable data protection law. You have the right to:

  3. request erasure of your personal data;
  4. request the restriction of processing of your personal data;

  6. withdraw your consent at any time;

All requests, complaints or queries may be addressed to Tipico by email to our DPO. We will consider any requests, complaints or queries and provide you with a reply in a timely manner, and in any case within the time limits established by law. You can also file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority should you not be satisfied with the way in which we handle your personal information.

V. External content and cookies

We use active JavaScript contents from external providers on our websites. When you access our site, these external providers may receive personal information relating to your visit to our websites. It is possible that this data is processed outside of the EU. VI. Data security

Technical and organisational measures in accordance with Article 32 of the GDPR are implemented to protect your personal information from unauthorized access by third parties, disclosure, alteration, destruction or loss during its collection, processing, and retention. This level of protection cannot, however, be extended to communication by email and we recommend that you send all confidential information by normal post.
