ESG

ESG stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors. These factors are evaluated to get an idea of the sustainability of the sum of an organisation’s actions.

Environmental factors include the contribution an organisation makes to e.g. mitigate climate change through greenhouse gas emissions, waste management and energy efficiency.

Social factors include human rights, labour standards in the supply chain, adherence to workplace health and safety procedures and the protection of our customers. Within this dimension, it is also evaluated how well a company is integrated within its local community.

Governance factors refer to the rules, responsibilities, and processes in our business.

ESG Reporting

Reporting qualitative and quantitative metrics on environmental, social and governance aspects of our business enables us to complement our annual reporting with a transparent disclosure on further risks and opportunities, granting our stakeholders a more holistic view of the company. Tipico has been publishing ESG Reports since reporting year 2018.

ESG Benchmarking

To provide additional assurance, Tipico is subject to external benchmarkings. As part of the benchmarkings, Tipico’s ESG disclosure is compared and rated against other companies from more than 50 different sectors.

Tipico has rated well above average every year, both with S&P Global Ratings and EcoVadis, making Tipico consistently one of the leading gambling operators in this respect.

This has been corroborated by Tipico’s Bronze Medal rating by EcoVadis in 2023.
