  • Early adoption of ESRS ahead of regulatory requirements.
  • Player protection: turnover from potentially problematic gambling behaviour further reduced to 1.26%.
  • Tipico remains on track for carbon neutrality by 2030.

Tipico has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, already applying the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) ahead of mandatory implementation. The report provides a detailed overview of Tipico’s efforts across responsible gambling, people, and environmental impact. A key milestone is the launch of the Sustainability Strategy 2030, which strengthens the focus on measurable goals related to player protection, employee engagement, and climate protection.

Responsible Business

A sustainably successful gambling business depends on a strong commitment to player protection. Tipico sees itself as a pioneer in the further development of player protection strategies based on scientific evidence. Tipico operates exclusively in regulated markets and thus generates 100% of its business in regulated environments. This approach is characterized by stringent and high standards of player protection that go beyond regulatory requirements.

In 2025, turnover generated by vulnerable players who later self-excluded or were excluded declined to 1.26%, clearly below the target threshold of 1.5%. Player protection measures include early detection algorithms, the investigation of flagged player behaviour, tools that help players stay in control as well as imposed measures, if required.

Employer of Choice

In 2025, we continued to strengthen our position as an employer of choice by investing in employee wellbeing, learning, leadership development, and an inclusive workplace culture. Our employee engagement score increased to 80%, reflecting our ongoing commitment to creating a positive employee experience. Colleagues benefited from enhanced career development opportunities, including the introduction of structured career paths across key functions, expanded learning opportunities, and the launch of our new leadership development programme.

With employees representing 85 nationalities, 100% completion of EDI training, and more than 1,100 volunteering hours contributed to local communities, we foster a workplace where people feel valued, empowered, and connected through the values we live by.

Climate Action

Progress continued towards the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030. Key milestones in 2025 included the transition to 100% renewable electricity across German entities, ongoing improvements in energy efficiency, and further electrification of the vehicle fleet.

The share of ISO 14001:2015-certified operations increased from 32% in 2024 to 88% in 2025, significantly expanding the scope of certified environmental management systems across the Group.

Through the Sustainability Report 2025 and the Sustainability Strategy 2030, Tipico is strengthening its commitment to responsible business practices, empowering its employees, and driving meaningful environmental progress.
