During the last two months, Tipico used jerseys and VIP Tickets from their different sponsoring partnerships to support charitable auctions and generate funds for the good cause. In the auctions with the Sporthilfe Austria and United Charity around 7,600 euro were raised.
Sporthilfe: 5,850 Euro Thanks to Tipico
Among other things, Tipico is league sponsor of the Austrian Bundesliga. For us, not only the highest level of national competition is important but also the support of young talents and sports for persons with handicap. The Austrian Sporthilfe (Sports Aid) is active in those areas. In May, an auction took place and all proceeds were donated to the charity organization. “It was no question for us that we would support the important and valuable work of the Sporthilfe. We were more than happy to use our partnership with FC Bayern Munich to donate three valuable packages for the good cause”, explains Tipico Corporate Responsibility Manager. The VIP tickets for games of the German record champion in the Champions League, Bundesliga and German Cup as well as signed jerseys were favorites of many bidders. Thanks to Tipico, proceeds of 5850 euros went towards the Sporthilfe who thanked Tipico for the support: “We would like to thank you very much for the great support of the Krone Sporthilfe Auction 2019! Thanks to your help, we raised 104,000 euros for the support of Austrian young talents and athletes with handicap! An incredible number – thank you very much!”
United Charity: Jerseys Donated For the Good Cause
This wasn’t the only time we supported the Austrian Sporthilfe this year. For the first time, Tipico collaborated with Europe’s largest charity auction portal “United Charity”. Germany’s leading sports betting provider organized jerseys of Bayern Munich star players Franck Ribéry and Jérôme Boateng, a jersey of Hamburger SV and one of Bayern basketball player Maodo Lo. The proceeds of 1,740 euros will party go to the Sporthilfe and partly to the Patientenhilfe Darmstadt. The charity organization supports seriously ill people in their difficult situation. Further auctions are planned for the future to keep supporting the work of charity organizations.
