Press conference for the restart of Tipico Bundesliga season 2015/16 in Vienna
For the restart of the 2015/16 season, representatives of the Tipico Bundesliga invited press and media representatives to a press conference in Vienna. First, League President Hans Rinner and Tipico Bundesliga CEO Christian Ebenbauer introduced their ambitious targets to be reached by 2020. Amongst others, a league matches’ average attendance of 10,000 and a fixed starter or at least a second place for the qualifying round in the UEFA Champions League. The role of an “Academy League” that provides top leagues with players Rinner proudly accepts. He points to the Bundesliga’s share in the successes of the national team, which currently consists of 73 percent of players that got their skills exclusively in Austria. Finally, the team managers of the clubs were at the media representatives’ disposal in a question and answer session.
Tipico rewards creativity off the pitch
Bundesliga Premium Partner Tipico has launched a new award for clubs. But this award is directed rather to the clubs’ marketing specialists rather than to the players. The Tipico Marketing Award comes with 25,000 euros for the winning projects. Another proof for Tipico being much more than only the competition sponsor of Austria’s highest league. The Marketing Award of Tipico is more than just a “treat” for the clubs, but a real incentive to further creativity in terms of working with fans, media work and corporate social responsibility. The winning project will receive EUR 15,000, with 7,000 euros for second place and 3,000 euros for the third respectively.
