Tipico donates 10,000 euros in aid of HSV foundation “Hamburger Weg”

Just in time for the start of the second half of the season, Tipico Sportwetten and the Hamburger SV announced the extension of their six-year partnership for a further three seasons until 2019. On Friday night, Tipico used the home match of the HSV against Bayern Munich, another Tipico partner, for a charity campaign in aid of the HSV’s foundation “Hamburg Weg”.

The “Hamburger Weg” received 2,500 euros of donation for each of the three goals scored in the 1:2 defeat of the HSV. The betting turnover generated on a charity terminal in the Tipico Loge at the Volksparkstadion on this first round in 2016 was added to the sum. In the end, Tipico CEO Co. Ltd Jan Bolz handed over a cheque over 10,000 euros to HSV board member Joachim Hilke.

The charity campaign around the extension of the contract was a good start for the further cooperation between Tipico and the HSV: In the future, especially the relationship with the supporters shall be strengthened via the club’s digital media. For example, Tipico will present the HSV matches in the live ticker on all club channels with the start of season 2016/17. In addition, competitions and raffles with fantastic prizes such as tickets for HSV matches in the Hamburg Volksparkstadion will be organised.
