Bayern Munich, Red Bull Salzburg and SC Freiburg win championship titles 2015/16
The season 2015/16 will go down as extremely successful in the Tipicos partners’ club histories. Three league titles in three leagues and two countries were won last weekend and widely celebrated on the pitch already. In addition, two promotions to Germany’s top league were won. And there is still silverware waiting for Bayern and Red Bull Salzburg.
Tipico platinum partner FC Bayern München not only won its 26th German championship, but set a new Bundesliga record with the fourth title in a row. Celebrations among players and staff were jolly and exuberant and started with the final whistle in the win against Ingolstadt. Stubbornly pursued over the entire season by Borussia Dortmund, the Bayern displayed nearly perfect consistency when it came to the big points. The BVB will also be the opponent when the new champion enter the pitch at the Berlin Olympic Stadium for the DFB Cup final on May 21. In the last game under coach Pep Guardiola Bayern aims to grab the double.
As in the two previous years, the champion in Austria’s tipico Bundesliga is Red Bull Salzburg. In addition, the boys from the Mozart city have the chance for the third double in a row when they face FC Admira Wacker in the Austrian Cup final on May 19 in Klagenfurt. The Tipico partner’s first party started already after the final whistle against Sturm Graz, two rounds before the end of the championship. And now Salzburg can fully focus on the upcoming Champions League qualification.
Fans of the SC Freiburg only had to wait for 340 days for top flight football to return to the Breisgau. After have been relegated in the previous year, immediate promotion has been given the highest priority for the season and with winning the title in Germany’s second league one can say: Mission overachieved! With refreshing tempo and combination football, enormous enthusiasm and the league’s best offense the likeable club, which has Tipico as a premium sponsor on its side since 2010 already, left higher seeded competitors behind. Also one level higher the SC Freiburg will – once again – cause some stir with its winning mentality, famous team spirit, and the loyal, enthusiastic supporters.
Since 2009, the Red Bulls are writing an unparalleled success story in Leipzig. And now one has finally arrived at the long desired destination, at Germany’s top league. Hardly any other club pursued its long-term objective as meticulously and with such impressive vehemence as the Tipico Partner RB Leipzig. Hard work and trust in a young, hungry team have finally paid off. A team that surely will play an excellent role in the upcoming season.
After two – mildly said – “stormy” seasons, the Hamburger SV finally completed a season in calmer waters. Despite the defeat against VfL Wolfsburg Bruno Labbadia’s team secured its place in the 1. Bundesliga in round 33. The loyal HSV fans and exclusive partner Tipico can look forward to a further season with the Bundesliga dino in the top flight.
